A growing congregation in Two Rivers Estate, Juja Sub-County — one of 3 churches in Kenyatta Road Parish, Thiririka Presbytery.

Our Story

PCEA Goshen, whose motto is “Where the Holy Spirit Reigns”, was founded in 2018. It is one of the 3 churches in Kenyatta Road Parish, Thiririka Presbytery.

The church is located in Two Rivers Estate, Muigai Sub-Location, Kalimoni Location, Juja Sub-County, Kiambu County. It sits roughly 4.5 kilometres off the Nairobi–Thika Superhighway near Exit 14.

Alongside the life of the congregation, the church established Goshen Presbyterian School, extending our ministry into Christ-centred education for children in the community.

What we believe

Our statement of faith

We believe and worship the only one true God the Father, Son Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit, and to Him alone who has Lordship and Sovereignty over all; is good, does good unto all; has capacity to conquer the power and guilt of our sin and to make us new creatures in Jesus Christ, and is, therefore, to be revered, loved, praised, called upon, trusted in, served with all the heart, with all the soul and with all the might.

The Scriptures

We hold the Old and New Testaments to be the Word of God, the supreme rule of faith and life.

The Triune God

We worship one God — Father, Son and Holy Spirit — eternal, sovereign and gracious.

Salvation in Christ

We confess that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.

The Church

We are part of the one holy catholic and apostolic Church, ordered in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition.

How we are led

As a Presbyterian church we are governed not by one person but together — by elected elders and ministers meeting in committee and in court, from this congregation up to the whole denomination.

LCC — Local Church Committee

The committee that carries the day-to-day administrative oversight of the congregation — its property, finances and programmes — working alongside the Kirk Session.

Kirk Session

The court of elders that oversees the spiritual life and governance of this congregation, chaired by the Parish Minister.

Presbytery

We belong to the Thiririka Presbytery, which brings together congregations in our region for shared oversight and mission.

General Assembly

The highest court of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, setting doctrine and policy for the whole denomination.
